"Faith in America"

On Thursday Romney will deliver a speech that will "share his views on religious liberty, the grand tradition religious tolerance has played in the progress of our nation and how the governor’s own faith would inform his presidency if he were elected.” With this speech, Romney hopes to easy the suspicions that many conservative Christians have about his Mormon faith. Romney's faith has "dogged" his campaign since it began, which is demonstrated in the many polls that show a large number of Americans would be unwilling to vote for a Mormon Presidential Candidate.

  1. Part of me feels like we should not really care about the president's faith, but seeing the amount of influence Bush's faith has on his actions I think we need to know what the president's beliefs are and how they will affect decisions.

  2. I think that faith itself shouldn't be a factor but with faith often comes a number of other virtues that should be looked at when choosing the next president.

  3. I hate to judge people based on religion, but um, to be honest I don't think a mormon should be running our country. I think Romney's views would just be far to conservative and biased to do what's best for the country.
